The AK06 PS incorporates a phase-shifting autotransformer and a multi-pulse rectifier directly within the VSD enclosure. This topological approach suppresses harmonics physically rather than filtering them out, eliminating the need for external transformers or complex cabling.
The AK06 PS maintains effective harmonic suppression even when the supply frequency varies by ±5% (e.g., 47.5 - 52.5 Hz or 57-63 Hz).

The AK06 PS eliminates the risk of creating resonance circuits on the network side. This prevents the amplification of background harmonics often seen in weak grids.
The system is specifically engineered for independent networks (isolated oilfields). It performs exceptionally well with generator sets that are sensitive to capacitive loads, preventing the voltage instability often caused by standard harmonic filters.
The line offers high-order rectification options (18-pulse or 24-pulse) within the same footprint, providing a robust solution for complying with IEEE 519 standards without using active front ends or passive filters.

Despite housing large magnetic components (autotransformers) that typically generate significant heat, the AK06 PS is available in a fully sealed NEMA 4X cabinet rated for operation from -20°C to +60°C. This is rare for phase-shifting drives, which usually require vented enclosures or air-conditioned rooms
